This cascade of fruit wrapped in a sinuous red ribbon, formerly in the Cesare Lampronti collection, has been attributed by critics to Spadino (1659-1730), , whose workshop in Rome specialised in the production of rich and opulent compositions of flowers and fruit. The canvas has been considered as a fragment of a decorative cycle belonging to a single room.
