This expressive gouache by Guy Nicod presents a dynamic abstract still life of brass musical instruments, rendered with rhythmic brushwork and a bold modernist palette. At the centre of the composition, a set of silver trumpet valves rises above a cluster of looping yellow curves, unmistakably evoking the intricate tubing of horns, trumpets, or cornets.
