About the Item
This composition suggests a garden gathered and brought inside, captured in a rare moment of perfect balance. The interplay of pinks and golds creates a harmonious, almost musical rhythm. A contemporary interpretation of classic florals. Clean lines, deep contrast, and refined color work make this piece ideal for modern interiors. Painted from life in a many-layer technique, the artwork is ready to hang. The work is executed on high-quality canvas with oil paints Rembrandt. Signed in front and back of the canvas.
Irina Trushkova was born in Russia and graduated from the Faculty of Art of Krasnodar State University in 1987. She has been professionally engaged in painting since 1991. Having participated in more than 30 exhibitions and Art Fair her works are now represented in private collections in Russia, Germany, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, the USA, France, Belgium, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Trushkova became a member of the Union of Russian Artists in 1995 and a laureate of the Culture and Art Scholarship of the Krasnodar Region Administration. Since 2004 she has lived and worked in Belgium. The traditional Dutch 17th-century painting inspired Trushkova because of its delicate and balanced approach to light, shadow, and color nuances. She mainly uses a multi-layered technique. Even if their process is slow and complex, it makes it possible to accentuate light effects, various textures, and, last but not least, transparency. "I paint still life compositions in oil. Observing solely from life I aspire to capture the movement of light as it reveals both the object and the surroundings, creating a sense of serenity and quiet. The search for balance and harmony in the composition is vitally important for me. The objects in my still life can be often very usual and simple: jugs, fruits, bowls, or flowers. It's wonderment about things and visual information that l want to strengthen in my works. I invite the viewer to re-enchant in the world around us, to discover the short but really precious moments of life. Seizing the incredible beauty of life is my deepest vocation." This artwork vividly captures the classic essence of a still life composition, blending tranquility and vibrancy. Dominated by a striking blue tablecloth, the scene is adorned with a meticulously arranged bouquet of chrysanthemums in a dark, elegant vase. These blooms present a harmonious mix of white, red, and pink, drawing the viewer’s eye with their lush textures and subtle play of light. In the foreground, a white plate holds a selection of fruit including a pomegranate, an apple, and a lemon, executed with attention to detail that showcases their rich hues and natural gloss. To the side, a smaller plate with a lemon wedge complements the main subjects, enhancing the overall composition. The use of rich, deep colors contrasts the neutral background, creating a captivating balance and inviting viewers to appreciate the simple beauty and quiet sophistication inherent in everyday objects.
