Fine 19th century still life painting by an important French female painter Jenny Villebesseyx (1847 - 1924). The painting is oil on canvas measuring 23" x 29 1/2". Framed dimensions 36" x 43". The painting is in good condition with original surfaces and a small puncture (so cleaning and a small patch are indicated). The painting is otherwise stable and intact. The massive Barbizon museum quality frame is original to the painting but is very heavy and brittle - it adds significantly to the shipping cost of this piece, so a buyer may elect to purchase the painting without the frame. The artist's is known primarily as a still life/floral painter, with auction results over $60,000!
