José Miret Aleu (1912-1999) - Still life of peaches and cherries - Oil on canvas

Frameless.
Painter born in Barcelona in 1912. He studied drawing at the Baixas Academy in Barcelona and learned the trade of ceramics. In 1944 he participated with two works in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts held in Barcelona. Established in Mallorca for many years, he exhibited there on numerous occasions, especially at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Galerias Costa and Galeria Jaime III. He also made his work known in France, Germany and America, as well as individually, in Barcelona, Bilbao and Oviedo. It has in its history with the first prize for the work "Costa de Sóller" (Balearic Museum) and two second medals at the Autumn Hall of Palma. In addition to his landscape and marine paintings, he distinguished himself for his still lifes.
