Style : The pigment technique is today the essential material of his work. His paintings depict the theme of the pot- which according to a Bengali proverb “contains the universe”- in compositions that lie on the border between abstraction
figuration. Each of his paintings invites to a poetic meditation resulting from the form and the vibrating light of its blacks.
About the Artist and his work :
Born : 1956 in Kolkata.
Education :
1988 : Graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Calcutta.
The same year, as soon as he arrived in France, he was welcomed as a guest artist at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris where he worked on various pictorial techniques, including pigments, which is now the exclusive material for his work.
