About the Item
After Mary Fedden OBE R.A. PPRWA 1915-2012, was an English artist and teacher of art. She studied at the Slade School of Art in London and she painted portraits, murals and developed her own style of painting still life. She taught at the Royal College of Art, and her pictures can be found in a large number of collections throughout the UK. The original of this picture was originally painted by Fedden in 1984 and the whereabouts of the original painting is currently unknown, this picture is very slightly smaller than the original, it is initialed 'F' and is a recognised copy by a competent painter who clearly admired the work of Mary Fedden whose works are bright and lively as depicted here. The painting is currently housed in a temporary black frame which is included in the price, however I think it exposes the brightness of the colours, the frame could be changed by the new owner if required.
