A beautiful large 1960's Modern Belgian surreal oil on board still life depicting sunflowers in a landscape, by Noëlle Verheggen. The work signed lower right and presented in a painted wood frame.

Size: 38.5 x 23 inches (98 x 58 cm) including the frame
Noëlle Verheggen was a Belgian painter of landscapes, still lifes, birds and flowers. She trainined at the Charleroi Academy with Jean Ransy. Some of her works demonstrate a surrealist tendency.
Verheggen exhibited at the Contact Gallery in Liège in 1958, 1959 and at the Albert I Gallery in Brussels in 1961 and 1964. Her work was acquired by the Belgian State, with works at the Charleroi Museum, the Gaumais Museum and the Puron Library.
