French painter 19th century
Just like his uncle Jules Noel (1810-1881) he works primarily in the west of France, in Vendée, Brittany and Normandy, where he paints mainly ports, boats as well as typical country scenes.
Pol Noël exhibited at the Salon Yonnais in 1893 and created around this date for residences in Vendée decorative panels with themes of landscapes and monuments. this is how it represents the old Château de l'Île-d'Yeu.
