Roses are flowers known to everyone from childhood—a universal symbol of love and beauty. Their soft petals and sweet fragrance carry whispers of affection, like a timeless confession of love. For many, roses evoke memories of warmth and home. The garden roses at my grandmother's house remain among my most cherished recollections. Their vibrant blooms, nurtured with care, embodied the comfort of home, the serenity of summer afternoons, and the joy of simple moments spent with loved ones.
About the artist
Tamara Makhotina (pseudonym Rozinskaya) was born in 1961 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and moved to Russia at 12. She became a psychotherapist after 40, helping women overcome depression. At 54, she turned to painting to support a colleague's project and found it helped her recover emotionally during health challenges.
