This classical 19th, possibly 18th century still life features an abundant arrangement of fruits including a pineapple, grapes and peaches set against a dramatic landscape with stormy skies. A small visitor perches on a peach, delighted with his find. Executed in the distinctive style of George William Sartorius (1759-1828), the artwork is rendered with exquisite craftsmanship, reflecting the artist's meticulous attention to detail and refined technique. Unsigned. Beautifully presented in a burr walnut frame. On canvas laid to panel.
