A richly detailed still life scene depicting an elegant arrangement of fruit, glassware and wine, against a dark shadowy background. The composition is masterfully balanced by the golden hues of citrus and grapes, contrasting beautifully with the deep red of the wine and the gleaming surfaces of glassware. The artist has signed the composition to the lower right and the painting has been well presented in a large gilt effect frame with fluted cove. On canvas on stretchers.
