Mid-Century Modernist Multi-Color Bouquet, Yellow Vase of Flowers Still Life
Vivid and fun mid century modern still-life of a yellow vase of flowers by California artist Virginia Sevier Rogers (American, 1917-2015). A CAL Berkeley Modernist painter. This modernist depiction of a bright bouquet is bursting with an array of multi-colorful blooms in a cheerful spectrum of rich color.
Signed "V. S. R." upper left.

Rogers was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and studied with Hugh Breckenridge at the PAFA in 1934 and then earned a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina and her M.A. at UC Berkeley. While in Berkeley, Rogers pursued her art career and in 1971 she moved to the Monterey Peninsula. Member of the Society of Western Artists, Artists Equity.
