Photographs are Stamped and Numbered with the Copyright, Artist and Model's Names. Catalogue 1 and Catalogue 3 are circa 1962 and 1963. Booklets are complete, #1 is 42 pages and and #3 is 20 pages of images of Ferrero’s popular models and order forms and instructions in French. Booklet models including Rod Ferrero - Mister Europe 1961, Francois Rossi - Mr. France 1958 and Umbrerto Devetak - Mr. Italy 1961. In October 2015 the ailing Holly Woodlawn (1946-2015) completed the final autograph session of her life. Seated on her hospital bed in her Hollywood assisted living facility (with breaks for cigarettes and pain medication), Woodlawn lipstick kissed each photo of an edition of 47 Jack Mitchell photographs of herself and inscribed each, “Love, Holly Woodlawn” in her own hand. When the project was completed after several hours, she said, “Thank you for taking me away from reality for a while; it felt great to be a star again.” Holly passed away just seven weeks later, on December 6, 2015.

WHAT IS A CYANOTYPE?
The cyanotype (a.k.a. sun-print) process is one of the oldest in the history of photography, dating back to the 1840's.
Cyanotypes were then made famous by Anna Atkins, considered the first female photographer. Inspired by nature, we feel the need to look back at a craft that is handmade, analogue, and using an all-natural light source: the sun.
Our cyanotypes are made by coating high-quality Italian watercolor paper with a light-sensitive emulsion. We then expose it in direct sunlight for several minutes using a photo negative to get the best image quality. Finally, the print is washed and fixed with water to stop the reaction and prevent fading.

The first permanent image created by a camera — which materialized during the 1820s — is attributed to Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. The French inventor was on to something for sure.
