A rare, unique original silver gelatin black and white photograph by Agence Meurisse, Paris, circa 1930. The flood of the Seine River at Port de la Tournelle. Features: Original silver gelatin photography unframed. Press photography. Press agency: Meurisse, Paris. Photographer: Anonymous. Title: Paris, Port de la Tournelle, the flood of the Seine River, circa 1930. Provenance: Private collection. Image Size: 4.80 in high (12.2 cm) x 6.73 in wide (17.1 cm) - Archivally matted in a 17 in x 13 in mat. Caption and credit are typed at the back. "La crue de la Seine au port de la Tournelle. L'eau a envahi les quais, dans un décor brumeux ou s'estompe au loin Notre Dame de Paris. Ste Geneviéve du haut de son pilastre, contemple le flot montant - Photo Meurisse". ("The flood of the Seine at the port of La Tournelle. The water has invaded the quays, in a misty setting where Notre Dame de Paris fades in the distance. Ste Geneviève from the top of her pilaster, contemplates the rising water - Photo Meurisse ".) We will ship the piece in a mat (17 x 13 in) that fits a standard-sized frame.
