Unique piece! Unique Photography with art development aged fluid hand developed and inscribed 2008 Born in Frankfurt and raised in Belgium, Plessel went on to study at the University of Arts and Graphics in Frankfurt before working in advertising while continuing to study his craft at the Miro School of Arts in Barcelona. He became much sought after by many top fashion publications and brands including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Linea Umo, Stern Magazine, DKNY, Coca-Cola, Nike, Adidas, Clarins, Rolex, Deutsche Bank and many more. He has also done photo shoots for Playboy Magazine in Germany and worked as Art Creative Director for advertising firms McCann Erickson, Young and Rubicam and J. Walter Thomson. While at McCann Erickson, he hired Helmut Newton and the two became close friends, spending time together in Europe and the U.S. He started in photography in 1982 and worked with many other top photographers he met through his studies and his travels, including Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Albert Watson and Arthur Elgort. In his fashion and beauty work, Plessel has photographed many of the world’s top models, including Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Charlize Theron, Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, Adriana Lima, Iman, Laetitia Casta, Frankie Rayder, Kelly Emberg, Marcus Schenkenberg, Paul Singer and Mark Vanderloo, as well as ABC’s Dancing with the Stars host Brooke Burke and Anna Nicole Smith. But, for over twenty-two years now, Andre Plessel has been driven by his ultimate passion, that of black and white photography. His artwork creates dramatic, romantic and delicate images with great attention to his own style of lighting. His photos convey and play upon sensual tension, as opposed to blatant sexuality.
