Hand Signed by Ken Heyman Born in New York City in 1930, Ken Heyman first became interested in photography in high school. Later, during his student days at Columbia College-which were interrupted by a two-year stint in the army-his skill as a photographer grew, but still regarded photography as no more than a hobby. Then two events in college helped to direct him toward his career in photography. First, he sent off selections of his work to two national photography annuals and was pleased, indeed surprised, when both indicated they were eager to print his pictures-and did. But perhaps more important was his becoming a student of the distinguished anthropologist Margaret Mead...

Norma Jeane Mortenson or better known as Marilyn Monroe – iconic, beautiful and maybe the most known Hollywood Stars of the 20th century. Born and raised in Los Angeles, USA, she spent most of her childhood in foster homes and orphanage. She got married with only 16 years old and while working for a factory during WW II, she met a photographer from the First Motion Picture Unit and started a succesful modeling career. The rest of her life is history: In the 50s she was one of the most marketable actresses, had held leading roles in various movies and was known for her immense sex appeal. As a highly intelligent woman, she knew how to build a career, while, in her private life she struggled with addiction and mood disorder. At the age of 36 she died from an overdose of barbiturates at her Los Angeles home. With her breathy voice and hourglass figure, she is until today one of Hollywood's most famous actresses. By Edward Feingersh
Located in Cologne, DE
Ed Feingersh photographed Marilyn Monroe for Redbook magazine in March 1955 for a story which would follow Monroe through her daily routine, the photography to be candid and shot without flash in available light. The photographs he made of her during the week March 24–30, 1955 as she prepares for two appearances; opening night of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Morosco Theatre and being fitted with a burlesque corset for her ride on a pink elephant at a charity event at Madison Square Garden. (from Wikipedia) This is a unique silver gelatine print, made in 1988 from the original negative.
