From the limited Electa Editrice portfolio dedicated to Eadweard Muybridge, issued in 1981/82 in an edition of 1,000. Each sheet is a fine héliogravure (photogravure) on specially developed paper, reproducing Muybridge’s pioneering motion studies.
This plate presents two horizontal registers of a female nude performing consecutive actions—walking, bending and changing weight—captured in a grid that maps movement with scientific precision. Clarity: this impression is after Eadweard Muybridge (20th-century photogravure from the Electa portfolio), not a 19th-century print.
Sheet approx. 41 × 30.8 cm (11.5 × 15.5 in). Sold framed in a simple black frame with conservation mat; very good condition with minor toning consistent with age.
