International award winner photographer - Gerald Berghammer, born 1975 in Austria. Traveling around the world and capturing the impressions on analog black and white film was always a passion of the internationally successful master photographer Gerald Berghammer. The idea was to go back to analog photography to create images that decelerate, contrary to our fast-paced digital world. The quality of the images was convincing and laid the foundations for SILVERFINEART.

After numerous trips to the USA, Asia and around Europe, Gerald Berghammer began living in Vienna in 2002. In 2010 he graduated with a master craftsman diploma in photography. That same year he founded SILVERFINEART as a freelance photographer.

"Tree on Snowy Hillside", signed archival pigment print

"Tree on Snowy Hillside" is a black & white landscape photograph measuring 25x36" unframed. All of Rick's photographs are printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper using archival pigment-based inks. There are other edition sizes available, namely 12.25x17" and 7.25x10". Photographs are rolled carefully and shipped in a tube. Framing is optional and quoted separately.
Tree on Snowy Hillside is a fine example of the Japanese philosophy of Ma – the celebration of the space between things. This image of a lone tree was taken at a snow covered golf course in Caledon, Ontario. It was a Gold Medal winner at the 2023 PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris, France.
