Holly Gordon is one of the many treasures that Long Island has to offer, continuing more than a century’s old tradition of celebrating the natural beauty of the Island, that has attracted many artists especially the famous artist Arthur Dove and his wife Helen Torr. Gordon is a pioneer of “photo-liminalism”, a new visual language that humanizes technology and allows one to paint with the camera. Her works transcend photography into a more complex medium by positioning, overlapping, diffusing images into powerful and exciting compositions and subjective narratives. Holly Gordon is a working photographer coming from a fine arts background, and holds a Master's Degree from New York University.
