"Wildlife fine art photographer and conservationist, James Lewin, is entirely self-taught and first became interested in photography whilst in Kenya. Alongside his love of photography, James is an ardent conservationist and in partnership with Isabella Garrucho Fine Art we donates 20% of all image sales directly back to the conservation charities in the areas where the images were taken. Organizations like the Big Life Foundation, The Serengeti Cheetah Project, Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, Tsavo Trust, Borana Conservancy, The Mara Elephant Project and Lewa Conservancy, These organizations mission it is to protect the Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Rhinos and Leopards he photographs along with their natural habitat.
James's photographs are offered in 3 different printing formats / styles:
Small Archival Pigment Prints:
The most commonly used among professional photographers. Pigment Prints are made by digital inkjet printers, which mix ink to create specific hues. The ink is then applied directly to paper in fine detail.
Medium / Large Silver Gelatin Prints:
The gold standard in black and white printing which surpasses archival pigment prints in longevity, quality and detail.
Premium Edition Platinum Palladium Prints:
The prints selected are made in a darkroom and were very popular in the late 19th century. It uses platinum palladium as the light-sensitive material and has the very best archival rating of any print over 2,000+ years."
This photograph will be printed once payment has been received and will ship directly from the printer the artist works with. Your certificate of authenticity will be shipped separately from your print and in most cases will ship directly from the gallery.
The Gallery is more than happy to provide clients with the next available edition number, however, the Gallery can only guarantee the specific edition number the client will receive once payment has been received.

Baobabs are one of Africa’s natural wonders: they can live more than 2,500 years, and their massive, water-storing trunks can grow to more than one hundred feet in circumference. They also serve as a renewable source of food, fiber, and fuel, as well as a focus of spiritual life. But now, suddenly, the largest baobabs are dying off , literally collapsing under their own weight. Scientists believe these ancient giants are being dehydrated by drought and higher temperatures, likely the result of climate change.
Photographer Beth Moon, already responsible for some of the most indelible images of Africa’s oldest and largest baobabs, has undertaken a new photographic pilgrimage to bear witness to this environmental catastrophe and document the baobabs that still survive. In this oversize volume, she presents breathtaking new duotone tree portraits of the baobabs of Madagascar, Senegal, and South Africa. She also recounts her eventful journey to visit these fantastic trees in a moving diaristic text studded with color travel photos.
