This is an 39.5 x 59 inches archival giclée black and white print on archival exhibition paper. It is part of a limited edition of 6 plus 2 AP. Signed and numbered in the back.
An edition of 10 and an edition of 20, smaller in size, are also available.
It shows a close up of a model on the runway with the public in the background. It was taken in Paris during a fashion show by French fashion designer Jerome L' Huillier. The "unbalanced" point of view used by the photographer, together with the flu effect, gives a dynamic effect to the framed scene.
Jean-Luc Fievet is best known for his black and white photographs portraying people and everyday street life. His work is marked by both an expressionistic approach for the close-up portraits, as well as a documentary freshness for the street scenes portraying the every-day life of different urban realities.
Jean-Luc’s journey into photography began by recording intimate moments of his family and the families of close friends. When he moved to Paris he discovered a new world that he adopted immediately, the city. His work then led him to New York, where he settled permanently. He states: “Photography for me is a constant exploration of powerful emotions, of sensuality, of the reality around me and the dreams within.”
