Strongly inspired by the works of established artists, i.e. Man Ray, Mario Giacomelli, Daido Moriyama, and André Kertész, and by their respective concepts, sensibilities and methods, Kosuke’s work is locked in a pastiche of references. According to the artist, the potential for new work rests in the revitalization of the work of his predecessors. In his works anyway Kosuke add (i.a. through the technique of multi-exposure) his own unique perspectives, sensibilities and atmosphere, preserving at the same time photography's essential beauty, character and dignity. His 'WARNING' series turns into a unique world when he imbues the images he shot on film with emotions in the darkroom. The artist’s choice to populate his pictures with figures of idle cats is successful in communicating a sense of boredom and detached dreaminess, which is yet at odds with the series’ title and its reference to almost apocalyptic scenes.
