Greene (1922-1985) made his mark as one of the most celebrated photographers in the world. Greene created a vast body of work, comprising images of our most beloved artists, musicians, and theatrical celebrities. His photography traced the passage of an era, highlighting the best in Hollywood and fashion. Greene was one of the earliest and best-known artists working in the early days of colour photography. He worked with a plethora of celebrities, from Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Audrey Hepburn, to Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich, Dizzy Gillespie and Judy Garland. His work was showcased in the biggest publications of the time, including Vogue, Life, Look, Town Country and Harper’s Bazaar.
