Typed French comment reads: "16 Juillet 1929, une scène de plage dans la banlieue même de Paris. L'ingénieux propriétaire d'un établissement de bains de Port a l'Anglais a fait aménager une vraie plage aux abords de son établissement." (July 16th, 1929, beach scene in the heart of the Parisian suburbs. The ingenious owner of a public bath in "Port à l'Anglais" had a real beach built next to his establishment).

Press Agency ROL
The Rol agency is a photographic reporting agency created in 1904 by the photographer Marcel Rol (1876-1905) and disappeared in 1937 due to its merger with the Meurisse and Mondial Photo Presse agencies. The National Library of France holds more than 130,000 photographs from the Rol agency (collections relating to current affairs and sport) while the Air and Space Museum in Le Bourget holds 27,905 photographs from the agency ( aeronautical fund).
