About the Item
Palm Springs Pool Side, photography from Richard Heeps Dream in Colour series, taken at the Ballantines Movie Colony. This artwork captures the classic mid-century Palm Springs architecture. Although taken in 2000 it was first executed in Richard's darkroom in 2020.
Primarily known as a color photographer Richard Heeps was commissioned to create this black and white edition as part of an interior design project.
This artwork is a limited edition of 25 gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame fitted with anti-reflective UV70% glass. It is signed and numbered on reverse accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Handmade to order. Please note the backlit screen affects the true to life colours.

Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography without the need for digital manipulation. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England, and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world, and his work is now part of many international collections.
