Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is now an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "As we search the length and breadth of America for shooting locations, we are drawn to roads that lead the eye but are then halted by something monumental. This formula offers a closed end theatre from which to tell stories. The best urban example of this is perhaps La Salle Street in Chicago, which concludes with the Chicago Board of Trade. It is one of the most iconic views in any American city and, of course, Chicago is the showcase of American architecture. Sam Mendes made full use of this in “The Road to Perdition”. Forrest Gump Point in Monument Valley is the American West at its majestic best and offers the same narrative of a journey’s end, albeit amidst the towering monoliths of Arizona. But perhaps my favourite setting for this box office effect is the old mining town of Telluride resting at 9,000ft in the mountains of southwestern Colorado. I would contend that looking east down Main Street on a clear day is one of the most visually thrilling sights in all of America. There is a timelessness to the street with the grandest and most imposing of backdrops. Of course, Telluride is now a glamorous Ski resort and my instincts were to shoot here in the winter; the mountain pops...

Footballer and Shadow, Southam Street, London, 1956 - Roger Mayne
Located in London, GB
Signed, dated and inscribed Signed, dated, inscribed with title and numbered on reverse Silver gelatin print, printed 2003 12 x 15 1/4 inches Roger Mayne (1929-2014) is a British photographer known for his series documenting the children of Southam Street, West London. Influenced as much by the St Ives school of artists as by his photographer contemporaries, Mayne consciously printed with high contrast to emphasise the formal qualities of his work and increased the scale of his prints to pursue a dialogue with contemporary painting. The images which Roger Mayne captured between 1956 and 1961 at Southam Street, London represent the most significant personal and professional project of his career. At that time, Southam Street in North Kensington had changed little since Victorian times and was later declared uninhabitable, making way for Erno Goldfinger...

"I took this early on in the trip and I kept referring back to it because it has character and the lead players are pin sharp. Penguins head on offer a different perspective and a ground position - as always - adds stature to the subject. There was no depth of field available that day and the vast majority of the images were cluttered and messy – except, thankfully, this one. Studio 54 Portfolio, 1977-1981 (36 prints)
Located in White Plains, NY
'Studio 54 Portfolio, 1977-1981' by American photographer, Allan Tannenbaum. Archival pigment prints, Ed. 11/30, 36 prints. Image: 6 x 9 in. / Paper: 11 x 14 in. This rare 36-print portfolio features photographs taken between 1977-1981 at the famed nightclub, Studio 54. Images of well-known celebrities include such luminaries as Liz Taylor, Andy Warhol, Bianca Jagger, and Michael Jackson. Allan Tannenbaum's career in photography spans more than four decades. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, in 1945, he received a B.A. in Art from Rutgers University in 1967, where he photographed for The Targum – the campus newspaper – and made films for his art courses. In 1973, when the SoHo Weekly News commenced publication, Tannenbaum became the Photo Editor and Chief Photographer. The newspaper started out as an eight-page free paper, but soon became a popular newsstand seller that rivaled the established Village Voice. Tannenbaum relentlessly covered the art world, music scene, politics, show business, and nightlife until 1982 when the SoHo News folded. Tannenbaum has also done documentary and feature photography in places like Thailand, Indonesia, Palau, Jordan, Bahrain, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Brazil, Israel, Iceland, and Mexico. He has covered numerous political campaigns, nominating conventions and news stories in the U.S. such as the Oklahoma City bombing and the Columbine massacre. His work has appeared in many photo books and exhibitions, as well as appearing regularly in NEWSWEEK, TIME, LIFE, ROLLING STONE, PARIS MATCH, and STERN. His photographs have graced the covers of TIME three times, and NEWSWEEK five times. He now works as an international photojournalist contributing to various noted publications including Time, Life, and Newsweek. He is the author of three other books of his photography, including New York in the 70s (Feierabend, 2003), New York (Feierabend, 2004), and John and Yoko: A New York Love Story...
