The Sewell Cushion Wheel Company’s players wear uniform shirts bearing the timeless term “All Cush,” (frankly, worthy of reproduction these weighty days). But then, it likely referred to the manufacturer’s “all-cushioned wheels.” Such marketing promoted their product’s notable improvement over the rough-riding solid rubber versions until air-filled pneumatic tires came along.
Team members are posed with their equipment in front of Sewell’s Detroit distributor Thompson Bros. looking crisp and gung-ho for their next match.
