The repetition of architecture is the focus of the "Urban Wallpapers" series. Building balconies, windows, and facades combine to create a graphic mosaic that saturates the scene. The "Urban Wallpapers" series, a genuine work of memory on now-demolished buildings, was born out of chance and opportunity. The building's 140 apartments were accessible to Bruno Fontana just before it was destroyed. The artist immersed himself in the location for five days, capturing small objects and details that revealed the intimacy of the previous owners.
Bruno Fontana investigates urban settings. He nudges the viewer to take a closer look at commonplace details, architectural components, and landscapes. Every photographic collection is a sincere invitation to observe with curiosity and to let go of preconceived notions, fantasies, and imaginations.
