'Fire and ice' only merely begins to capture the diverse magnificence of this island nation. Here lies the summit of Bláhnjúkur Volcano overlooking rifts of snow and verdant moss in Landmannalaugar. Freezing cold and bombarding gusts of 35-40mph kept us awake until we reached this compelling view.
