This striking aerial photograph of Nantucket was captured from the sky by American Airlines pilot Dan Oberlander. While headed overseas on a trip to Europe, Oberlander’s flight was redirected over Nantucket, only to reveal a once-in-a-lifetime view of the beloved island. Illuminated by the October super moon, the clouds parted perfectly as Oberlander snapped a truly breathtaking aerial shot of what so many of us know to be our happy place.
