About the Item
This photograph is from my "Wave" series.Looking at the mundane and almost trite subject of waves, I’m exploring our innate sensibility to judge both as artist and viewer. Any shot of nature is inherently beautiful and original. Yet in our insatiable desire for newness, people expect something completely original, never seen before from each piece of art. This obsession with originality distracts and harms art. Playing upon expectations, I’ve negatively pre-labeled my photographs complicating the judgment process and changing the tide on the observer. Limited edition, (series of 50), signed and numbered. Printed on archival pigment based inks on acid free archival ?fine art paper.
