Kolten Horner is a Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary performance artist, photographer and a Meisner-trained actor. After having studied photography under Gene Nocon, Kolten moved to Los Angeles to focus on performance. Kolten's performance art work places a big emphasis on the interplay of invented objects with light, and body. Thematically, Kolten's work celebrates the pursuit of mental homeostasis. Kolten's studies of Vipassana meditation, Wim Hof breathing method and cold immersion allow him to access states of calm during his difficult and endurance-
based performances.
Masha Ko and Kolten Horner, are body installation artists who examine how various social dynamics influence individual sense of identity. Their durational performance works are bold and challenging, often shifting the creative power from the artists themselves to the audience, turning spectators into the creators of the work.
