Each artwork measures 21.25" x 16" Framed in a Choice of Black or White Box Frame fitted with Anti-Reflective UV70% Glass.
They are limited edition of 25 gloss photographic prints, dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount. They are signed and numbered on reverse accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
True to life colors are affected by viewing on screen.
Hang them together or individually throughout a room.
Handmade to order. They are available in larger sizes.
ICES, by Richard Heeps, photographed at the British Seaside at the end of summer 2020. This artwork is about evoking memories of the simple joy of days by the beach. The bold color blocking, typography and the surreal twist of the suspended ice cream cone, cross many of Richard’s artistic signatures.
Richard runs his own color darkroom in Cambridge printing his photographs from negative and chose to frame this image with the Kodak film rebate.
Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography without the need for digital manipulation. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England, and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world, and his work is now part of many international collections.
