The collector also receives a certificate of authenticity from the gallery. Looking like a live-action movie, a model is pulled by a helicopter, while wearing only a winterjacket. Tony Kelly is one of the most influential fine art photographers of our times. He plays with humour and provocation and although highly polished, his work is playfully subversive which forces you to stop and think, inviting us to venture beneath the glossy veneer and confront stereotypes, taboos and role reversals. Born in Dublin, Ireland, 1975, Tony cut his teeth as a photojournalist, capturing the burgeoning celebrity culture that sprung up in a city embracing a newfound wealth. His voracious appetite for blue skies and sun-drenched panoramas drew him to Barcelona, where he embraced the "street voyeur" within. His quirky spin on daily life and the cultural idiosyncrasies that surrounded him quickly became his distinctive signature style. „My aesthetic is fun, colourful, vibrant and sexy. In terms of maintaining authorship, it’s a very natural process. If you’re true to yourself and your ideas, the rest takes care of itself.
