Photo on crystal archive paper. Limited edition of 6 ex. Free shipment worldwide. Signed by the artist and accompanied with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Acquired directly from the artist. Clara Hallencreutz, born in 1985, is a Swedish artist, living and working in Stockholm. After having completed a Bachelor of Photography at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia she has contributed to a number of exhibitions in Australia, China, UK, USA as well as in Sweden. Initially Clara Hallencreutz specialized in commercial photography, which is vividly expressed in her contemporary photographic art with its graphic expression. The tone of her artwork is amusing and carefree, featuring bold dynamic colours isolated in a clean surrounding. Often her images portray a small-scale installation of everyday objects painted with a pop artist palette. The inspiration varies and is influenced by the visual language of art movements including surrealism, geometric abstraction and pop art. Sometimes a vague influence can be distinguished and on occasion, an abstract interpretation or re-creation of an old master’s work, such as Mondrian or Magritte is clear. The colours play a central role in the connection between the viewer and the work, while the object portrayed simply plays a supporting part. Shades, texture and form inject the emotional impact. Clara Hallencreutz’ work articulates joy and energy and without being aggressive or condescending, the suggestive images inspire further conceptual exploration and imagination. The photographies are printed on Crystal photo paper and mounted with silicone glue between a 10 mm plexiglass and an aluminium back. The works are signed and made in limited editions that varies from one of a kind to six pieces depending on the work.
