MODERNISSIMO series Modernismo was conceived between 2012 and 2014 as a series of pure photography, marrying elements of the historical pop art movement and raw, undulating forms of the human body. Patterns become the focal point as lines of the body become the canvas. Rooted in high fash- ion, Modernismo celebrates optical illusion coupled with vibrant color, within a unique and malleable interpretation. Bekor focused on creating a series of intrigue and minimalism, working with classical elements of black and white photography and playing on the vulnerabilities of his subject matter. Images composed of unique lighting, contrasting colors, and bare skin evoke drama and sensuality within the series.
