Herbert Sidney Palmer, Canadian, 1881 to 1970, oil on board painting. Etudes of winter nature. signed in the lower right. Undated. Stamped The Estate of Herbert Sidney Palmer on the backside. Unframed. Herbert Sidney Palmer is best known as a landscape painter who captured Canadian scenes. He was a secretary of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and the Ontario Society of Artists, and taught at the Ontario College of Art. He was a recipient of the Canadian Centennial Medal, and one of the founders of the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto.--5 x 6 1/2 in. Painting is Unframed
