Dionisio González (Born in Gijón, Spain, 1965) works as lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts (University of Seville) where he teaches the subject “De la Idea Artística a las Políticas de lo Social” by the master Máster Universitario en Arte: Idea y Producción. Doctor of Fine Arts with the thesis The Aesthetics of Horror and renowned artist, he has received numerous awards including the Prize Pilar Juncosa y Sotheby´s or the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró Award. His work has been exhibited in the most recognized institutions and museums from all over the world, like the Museum of Contemporary Art of Cleveland, the CAPC (Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux), the MNCARS (Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía) of Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Chicago, the MAMBO (Museum of Modern Art of Bogota) the Museum Folkwang of Essen, el MASP (Art Museum of São Paulo), or the MOCCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) of Toronto. He has taken part in different Art Biennals and Festivalas, like the Venice Biennale, The International Biennale of Contemporary Art of Seville, the Busan Biennale (South Korea), the Miami Biennale, the Biennale of Contemporary Art of Le Havre, or the Gwangju Biennale (South Korea). His work can be found in different Museums and Collections like the MNCARS of Madrid, the ING’s Art Collection of Amsterdam, the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Chicago, the Centre national d’art et de culture Georges-Pompidou of Paris, the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse of Miami, the Caldic Collection of Rotterdam, the Neuflize Vie Fondation of Paris, or the Williams College Museum of Art de Williamstown.
