Jem Southam is one of the most critically respected British landscape photographers working today. Celebrated for his important contribution to colour photography in Britain, Southam documents subtle changes in the landscape in relation to the passage of time. In 2018, after a lifetime of making work in the South West of Britain, Southam made his first overseas trip to produce his latest body of work in New Zealand. The works included in Huxley-Parlour's 2019 exhibition 'The Long White Cloud' are the result of a six-week journey around the North and South Islands, and have never been exhibited before.
