This digital creation celebrates the serene majesty of marine life through the intricate patterns and vivid colors of a sea turtle I affectionately named Crush. Every detail — from the textured shell to the gentle movement of the water — reflects the quiet beauty and vulnerability of our oceans. The work serves as a tranquil yet powerful reminder of the precious ecosystems that exist beneath the surface, urging us to appreciate and protect them. Displayed in a home or gallery, this piece brings a calming, contemplative energy and a deep sense of connection to the rarely seen world of underwater wonder.
Heather J. Hollis is a self-taught fine art photographer whose work captures the quiet poetry of nature. Rooted in resilience and empathy, her imagery transforms fleeting moments—like delicate fungi blooming on a Missouri tree—into meditations on beauty, endurance, and light. Now exploring both land and sea through her lens, Heather continues to reveal the extraordinary within the everyday.

Marvelous Manta captures the effortless grace of one of the ocean’s most majestic beings. Gliding through clear blue waters with wings that move like poetry, the manta ray embodies both serenity and strength in motion. Its fluid silhouette and rhythmic movement reveal the quiet power and beauty that exist beneath the surface — a world rarely seen yet endlessly captivating. This piece is a tribute to the wonder of marine life, celebrating freedom, harmony, and the breathtaking elegance of the underwater realm.

"Spearing Salmon: Spokan", Sepia Photograph of Indigenous Spearfishing
By Edward Sheriff Curtis
Located in Soquel, CA
Silver and sepia tone photographic print of an indigenous spearfisher by Edward Sheriff Curtis, image circa 1901 (American, 1868-1952), as a 1974 copy of (and printed from negatives derived from) the original Edward Curtis copper gravure plate, by Jean-Antony du Lac (1929-2002). Curtis used a process he mastered of creating orotones, which are photographs on glass, which Jean-Anthony du Lac spent years mastering. Jean-Antony du Lac's work is considered that of a preservationist. Titled lower left, signed lower right. Presented in an aluminum frame with anti-glare glass. Paper size: 20"H x 15"W
Born in France and raised in New York City, Jean-Anthony du Lac moved west to San Francisco in 1957. Jean was an accomplished photographer whose published credits include Life Magazine and the San Francisco Examiner. He spent many years reproducing Edward S. Curtis' images of North American Indians; and he mastered the process of creating orotones, which are photographic reproductions on glass. Jean's orotones appeared on the walls of the Smithsonian as well as the White House during the Carter and Reagan administrations. A preservationist, his reproduction of Edward Muybridge...

Henry Miller was born December 26, 1891 in New York, New York. In 1920 Miller began working for Western Union Telegraph service where his interest in writing began. He soon left for Europe in 1928 where he resided in Paris in 1930. He continued full time with his long and lucrative career as a writer of more than 36 creative and analytical works. Miller's entrance into the writer's circle began with Tropic of Cancer, which still proves to be Miller's most famous work. Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn chronicle Miller's lives and loves as an expatriate in Paris. They were both originally published in France by Jack Kahane at Obelisk Press in the mid-thirties. Soon after the publishing of Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn, Miller's other works to date were published in the United States. During this time it was said that "Miller became a legendary character, a kind of folk hero, the Paul Bunyan of literature, larger than life as exile, bohemian, and rebel, the great champion of freedom of expression and other lost causes...
