About the Item
Marie Craig's "We All Shine On" is an original montage of four hand-colored deep blue photographs of the Mill Mountain Star. This piece was created using cyanotype, an early photographic process which uses sunlight to expose specially treated paper producing a striking indigo-toned image with high contrast and detail. The photograph was then hand-colored using neon pigments. The 20 x 16 x 1 inch composite photograph is surrounded by a white matte and framed in a white wood frame; framed dimensions are 26.25 x 22.25 x 1 inches. The photo is signed on the back by the artist.
Marie Craig is an award-winning Boston-based contemporary fine art photographer. Her work collectively glorifies objects that were once imbued with life but have since been abandoned. Craig is represented by Fountain Street Gallery based in Boston, MA.

Marie Craig
Marie Craig is an award-winning Boston-based contemporary fine art photographer. Graduating from Clark University, Massachusetts, with a Masters in Biology, Craig began as a medical photographer and illustrator specializing in cell biology for UMass Medical School and Brandeis University. Emerging from the medical sphere, she shifted her role to become a teacher, curator and photographer, all in the fine art community. Craig has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions at Danforth Art, Framingham, COSO, Boston and BigCi Open Day, Australia. She is the co-founder and director of Fountain Street Gallery in Boston. She works from her studio in Natick, Massachusetts.
