About the Artist:
Photographer Phillip A. Harrington died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Kingston Hospital. He was 88. He was born in Holland, Michigan on April 29, 1920, a son of the late Harry and Clara Harrington. A longtime Brooklyn resident, Mr. Harrington was a graduate of the Clarence White School of Photography, NYC.
His 40-year career began, during the 1940's, when he worked a the Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, director of photography at the Wisconsin State Journal, acting director of photography at the Minneapolis Tribune
