A unique print of Louise Bourgeois, in her studio, New York City, 1992 by Jean-Michel Voge. This is a 17" x 23" archival pigment print on Japanese Awagami handmade paper in an edition of 1 -- signed by the photographer, titled, and dated on the photo back.
One of the most celebrated 20th Century artists, French-American woman artist, painter, printmaker, and sculptor Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010) at 81 years old was photographed in 1992 in her studio in New York.
The female artist's indomitable spirit and energy shine through an authentic smile and mischievous eyes. The sculptures in the background form a modern backdrop against which the subject is very much at home in the studio space.

Artist’s Bio: Jean-Michel (JM) Voge (b. 1949) is a fine art photographer, formerly editorial freelancer for magazines, such as Madame Figaro (1982-2010), Le Figaro Magazine, Point of View, Marie France, Town and Country, European Travel and LIFE, Fortune Magazine, and AD Spain. The French photographer published a critically-acclaimed monograph on portraits of Europeans, "Figures of Europe," which include portraits of influential Europeans through 1990. Among JM's personal projects, he photographed the Surma tribe in the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, Africa and the Sumo in Tokyo. JM travels for much of his material including extended trips to Greenland.

Among Voge’s projects, in 2008, he exhibited photographs he shot in Ethiopia on the Surma tribe, which include Dandy and Tree among many others. Jean-Michel Voge travels extensively for much of his art today.
