About the Item
Dye sublimation on aluminum (Edition of 8)
Signed and numbered on label, verso
This artwork is offered by ClampArt, located in New York City.
David Bishop’s photography is strongly influenced by both baroque and contemporary art. His studies of 17th century Dutch still life and food have resulted in a unique, contemporary lighting style, which is created in part through the use of lights that Bishop fabricates himself. Bishop skillfully applies focused, transmitted, and reflected light in conjunction with hand-painted backgrounds to create imagery that captures the imagination and enhances the viewer’s perception of three-dimensional depth.
