Albert Irvin (1922–2015) was a British abstract painter associated with the School of London, known for his vibrant use of colour and energetic, gestural style. Influenced by urban life, movement, and music, his work often features bold forms and dynamic compositions that convey a strong sense of rhythm and emotion. Irvin taught for many years at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he influenced a generation of artists, and his work is held in major public collections, including Tate and the British Council.
