Broad horizontal bands of muted blue, cream, ochre, and charcoal suggest land, sea, and structure, while roughened textures and layered tones give the surface a quiet physical presence.

Christian Bozon was born in Lons-le-Saunier, France in 1969. He was trained at the Art School of Besancon and then began his career as a printmaker. In 1993 he fulfilled a long-held dream by organizing an engraving studio at the French Cultural Centre in Tetouan, Moroccoin. He finally settled in Malaga, Spain, and his art expresses the warmth and colors of both Andalusia and Africa. His prints are often a balance between abstraction and landscape, which he creates with drypoint and aquatint. He has decided against etching as a technique.
