About the Item

Composition is an original etching artwork realized by Claude Lemand " Assadour", Hand-signed on the lower right in pencil, numbered on the lower left, edition of 19/25 prints. In very good condition. Sheet dimension: 25 x 32 cm. Included a passepartout: 35 x 44 cm. The artwork represents a geometric composition through intense black, the playing with forms and colors inside a triangle in the center, with shadowy forms outside it, moon-like and alphabetic, each shape located with congruous harmony by soft and delicate strokes. Assadour, born in Beirut in 1943, in a Lebanese-Armenian family, in Assadour’s artwork, the components of artwork are inserted in land or remote places which is only suggested by the geometric lines and shapes of the composition. This constructivist approach refers to Assadour’s attempt to put some order to the world’s chaos, like the one he experienced.
