"Knife and Fork" - Surreal Landscape of Cutlery in the Clouds
Surreal etching of cutlery hanging in the clouds by Elizabeth Quandt (American, 1922-1994). A knife and fork are suspended in the air, held up by string. They are floating in the sky, against a background of puffy clouds.
Titled lower left and signed lower right.

Elizabeth attended the San Francisco Art Institute where she earned an M.F.A. She joined the art department of Santa Rosa Junior College in 1971 where she was an instructor of printmaking and drawing for 14 years. Her work was included in an exhibition at the Library of Congress 1944 and exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States.

Elizabeth Quandt
