Jeff Kahm was born in Edmonton Alberta, Canada in 1968 and attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in 1990 to study painting and photography He continued undergraduate studies at the Kansas City Art Institute earning a BFA. He received his MFA at the University of Alberta in 1997. Jeff lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he now calls home. He began teaching at the Institute of American Indian Arts initially as visiting faculty in 2005. Today he is a Professor in the studio arts department at IAIA.
